Design and produce a 1:1 scale form of seating following large-scale manufacturing guidelines for the Bienenstock Furniture Competition
Haptics
A first kiss, the bass surging through one's chest at a concert, or squeezing a sponge while washing a car. these are all forms of haptic sensations, a constant communication loop on a completely non-verbal plane. They generate instant feedback and, in design, queue the user on how to feel about what is currently happening.
Synthesis
Loops between objects are inevitable. A DJ is nothing without the movement of the crowd, a skater, nothing without an obstacle. These relationships are dependent on each other, always in motion, always in a constant, rhythmic state of communication.
Current Market Pain Points
The lounge chair market today is saturated with examples that can be bulky, high-priced, and difficult to move around. Users looking for renter-friendly options are often met with uncomfortable or fragile items making it difficult to feel a sense of tranquility due to frustration.
